Microsoft’s Bing Chat, the AI-powered chatbot feature that aims to make search more conversational and personalized, has rolled out some game-changing updates as of September 15, 2023. After its launch earlier this month, Bing Chat has continued to evolve, introducing features that make it even more user-friendly and versatile. The latest update offers two key features: Integration with Microsoft Launcher on Android devices and the “Continue on Your Phone” option for seamless transition between devices.

Microsoft Launcher Integration: Bing Chat Right on Your Home Screen

The Microsoft Launcher has always been about enhancing productivity on your Android device. It offers a personalized feed of your calendar, to-do lists, and notes while allowing customization of various aspects of your Android experience. Now, Bing Chat is integrated directly into Microsoft Launcher, offering users the ability to interact with the chatbot right from their Android home screen.

This integration allows for an even more streamlined user experience, enabling users to get summarized answers and creative inspiration without having to navigate to a different app or web page.

Continue on Your Phone: Seamlessly Resume Conversations Across Devices

Ever been in the middle of a chat conversation on your desktop and needed to step away? The new “Continue on Your Phone” feature has got you covered. When you’re chatting on your desktop and want to continue the conversation on Bing Mobile, simply select “Continue on phone” in the upper-right corner of the last chat response. A QR code will appear, which you can scan to resume the chat session on another device, offering a seamless transition and continuous experience.

The Bing Chat Advantage

Launched in September 2023, Bing Chat is not your average chatbot. Powered by advanced natural language understanding and generation technologies, it is equipped to understand your queries and offer relevant and engaging responses. Users can ask anything— from factual questions to creative requests — and Bing Chat will deliver complete and reliable answers. It also offers specialized modes such as Balanced, Creative, and Precise to tailor responses according to user needs.

How to Access Bing Chat

Bing Chat is accessible via the web, on the Microsoft Edge browser, and on the Microsoft Edge app for mobile devices. To engage with Bing Chat, users can click on the chat icon located on the top right corner of the Bing homepage or by opening the sidebar on Microsoft Edge.

Looking Ahead

With these updates, Microsoft aims to make Bing Chat an indispensable tool for users who seek a more interactive and personalized search experience. The Bing Team encourages users to keep the feedback coming as they continue to improve and introduce new features to Bing Chat.

So whether you’re planning a project or just need quick answers, Bing Chat’s new features aim to make your experience more productive and fluid, one chat at a time.
