Apple Vision Pro

Last month, Apple announced Apple Vision Pro, a new mixed reality headset that enables a fully three-dimensional user interface controlled by the user’s eyes, hands, and voice. This headset is powered by visionOS, Apple’s spatial operating system. The main highlight of Vision Pro is its ultra-high-resolution display system that packs 23 million pixels across two displays, and custom Apple silicon in a unique dual-chip design. Apple Vision Pro will start at $3,499 in the U.S and will be available early next year.

Apple Vision Pro offers an infinite spatial canvas to explore, experiment, and play, giving you the freedom to completely rethink your experience in 3D.

In order to help developers to get their apps ready for the headset launch, Apple today announced the availability of Apple Vision Pro Developer Kits for select developers. You can apply to get access to the Vision Pro Developer Kit.

Once selected, Apple will loan you a Vision Pro developer kit to prepare your app for the launch of the new App Store on Vision Pro. You’ll also receive:

  • Help setting up the device and onboarding.
  • Check-ins with Apple experts for UI design and development guidance, and help refining your app.
  • Two additional code-level support requests, so you can troubleshoot any issues with your code.

This Apple-owned development device needs to be returned upon request.

Even without the device, developers can get started with visionOS development using the visionOS SDK, Xcode, the visionOS simulator, Reality Composer Pro, documentation, sample code, design guidance, and more. You can more details about these from the source link below.
