Microsoft and Meta today expanded their partnership to announce availability of Llama 2 model on Azure and Windows. This is the first time, Meta is offering Llama 2 to commercial customers and Microsoft is its preferred partner.
With this availability, Azure customers can fine-tune and deploy the 7B, 13B, and 70B-parameter Llama 2 models. Also, Llama 2 model will be optimized to run locally on Windows allowing developers to use Llama by targeting the DirectML execution provider through the ONNX Runtime. This will allow developers to bring generative AI experiences to Windows apps.
The Azure AI model catalog is the one stop solution to easily discover, evaluate, customize and deploy pre-built large AI models. This eliminates the need to manage all infrastructure dependencies when operationalizing Llama 2 and other huge AI models.
