ChatGPT with Bing plugin can provide timelier and more up-to-date answers with access from the web. This feature was made available for ChatGPT Plus users last week.
OpenAI has now disabled the feature due to a bug that can occasionally display content in ways OpenAI don’t want. For example, if you specifically ask for a URL’s full text, it might inadvertently fulfill this request even though the content is behind the paywall.
OpenAI has disabled the Browse with Bing beta feature out of an abundance of caution while we fix this in order to do right by content owners.
OpenAI team is working to bring the feature back as quickly as possible.
ChatGPT Plus users can use Browsing with Bing to get comprehensive answers and current insights on events and information that extend beyond the model’s outdated training data. To try this feature, ChatGPT users can enable Browsing in the “new features” section of the app settings. Then select GPT-4 in the model switcher and choose “Browse with Bing” in the drop-down.
