Inflection AI, a Palo Alto-based AI studio, announced it has raised $1.3 billion in a recent funding round led by current investors including Microsoft, Bill Gates, Reid Hoffman, Eric Schmidt, and new investor NVIDIA. The company, which aims to bring personal AIs to every individual worldwide, has now raised a total of $1.525 billion.
The funding will boost the continued development of Inflection AI’s innovative product, Pi, a new class of personal AI. Since its launch in May, Pi has been designed to be a kind and supportive companion, offering text and voice conversations, friendly advice, and concise information in a natural, flowing style.
An Unprecedented AI Cluster
In partnership with CoreWeave and NVIDIA, Inflection AI is currently constructing the world’s largest AI cluster, composed of 22,000 NVIDIA H100 Tensor Core GPUs. Within a year, the company has developed a sophisticated large language model to allow users to interact with Pi seamlessly, receiving fast, relevant, and helpful information and advice.
