A 3rd party developer is trying to bring back Clippy on Windows. FireCube Studios recently released an app called Clippy for Windows 10 and above PCs. This new Clippy is powered by the OpenAI GPT 3.5 model, and you need an OpenAI key to make it work.
Clippy can be pinned to the screen for quick access to chat or just be left for nostalgia.
Also, FireCube is planning to develop this app as an open-source project. They are working on several improvements such as support for more characters like bob or classic clippy, the ability to drag and resize and the ability to work without an OpenAI key.
