At Build 2023, Microsoft today announced Windows Copilot to offer centralized AI
assistance for customers. Through Windows Copilot, Windows 11 customers can access Bing Chat and first and third-party plugins.
The new Windows Copilot can be easily invoked using the button on the taskbar. Once invoked, the Windows Copilot side bar stays consistent across apps, so you can use it even when you are inside other apps. For example, you can copy and paste content in Windows Copilot to rewrite, summarize, or explain your content. Just like Bing Chat, you can ask Windows Copilot a range of questions.
With Bing and ChatGPT plugins in Windows Copilot people will not only have access to augmented AI capabilities and experiences, but you as developers will also have new ways to reach and innovate for our shared customers.
If you are a developer, Bing and ChatGPT plugins you develop can also be brought into Windows Copilot.
Windows Copilot will start to become available in preview for Windows 11 in June.
