Microsoft today announced another partnership with a cloud gaming provider. Nware, an European cloud gaming platform, has signed a 10-year agreement with Microsoft. As part of the agreement, Microsoft will bring its Xbox PC game titles to Nware platform. Also, if Activision acquisition closes, Microsoft will also bring Activision titles to Nware platform.
“We are excited to be working with Microsoft to bring access to even more titles on Nware, giving our gamers the freedom to play any game, anywhere. Nware is more than just a cloud gaming platform. It’s a gateway to a limitless gaming experience, built by gamers for gamers,” said Daniel Olmedo, Nware CEO and Co-founder.
“We are full speed ahead in our mission to bring players more ways to play their favorite games,” said Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox at Microsoft.
While it’s still early for the emerging cloud segment in gaming, this new partnership combined with Microsoft’s other recent commitments with Nintendo, NVIDIA and others will make more popular games available on more cloud game streaming services than they are today.
