Microsoft today provided an update on the latest version of Windows 10. Windows 10, version 22H2, the current version, will be the final version of Windows 10. All Windows 10 editions will remain in support with monthly security update releases till October 14, 2025. As expected, LTSC releases will continue to receive updates beyond that date based on their specific lifecycles.
Microsoft recommends users to transition to Windows 11 now as there won’t be any additional Windows 10 feature updates.
Microsoft today also announced that the next Windows LTSC releases will be available in the second half of 2024:
- Windows 11 Enterprise LTSC
- Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC
