WhatsApp Multi device

Meta’s WhatsApp today announced a major improvement for its multi-device offering. You now have the ability to use the same WhatsApp account on multiple phones. You can actively use the same WhatsApp account on up to four phones at the same time. Each linked phone connects to WhatsApp independently, so your personal messages, media, and calls are end-to-end encrypted.

Due to security, if your primary device is inactive for a long period, WhatsApp will automatically log you out of all companion devices.

This feature will be helpful for small businesses where additional employees can now respond to customers directly from their phones under the same WhatsApp Business account.

This improved multi-device feature has started rolling out to users globally and will be available to everyone in the coming weeks.

WhatsApp also announced a more accessible way to link to companion devices. You can now use your phone number on WhatsApp Web to receive a one-time code, which you can use on your phone to enable device linking, instead of scanning a QR code.
