Microsoft is now bringing the power of LLMs (large language models) to its security products and services. Powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4, the new Microsoft Security Copilot is an AI-powered security analysis tool that enables analysts to respond to threats quickly, process signals at speed, and assess risk exposure in minutes.
Security analysts can question Security Copilot in natural language and receive actionable responses. For example, they can identify an ongoing attack, assess its scale, and get instructions to begin remediation based on proven tactics from real-world security incidents. Security Copilot can also be used for Thread Hunting. For example, they can ask a query like “Any suspicious login happened in the last 10 days?” and receive answers instantly.
If any security incident has occurred, Security Copilot can be used to summarize any event, incident, or threat in minutes and prepare the information in a ready-to-share, customizable report for your desired audience. Yes, it can even prepare a PowerPoint slide on a security incident.
Security Copilot also integrates with the end-to-end Microsoft Security products, and over time it will expand to third-party products as well.
