Meta today announced the updated WhatsApp app for Windows with improved performance, link previews stickers, and support for group video calls with up to eight people and audio calls with up to 32 people. WhatsApp has also made improvements to device linking and better syncing across multiple devices.
This updated WhatsApp app for Windows now has an interface similar to the mobile version of the app. Using this app, you can have a video call with up to 8 people and audio call with up to 32 people, but WhatsApp has plans to increase these video and audio calls limit over time.
When using WhatsApp, your personal messages, media and calls are always end-to-end encrypted across all your devices.
Along with the updated WhatsApp for Windows app, Meta also highlighted that they recently released a new WhatsApp beta experience for Android tablets and for Mac desktops that is currently in the early stages of beta.
