Microsoft introduces Business Chat, a new AI experience that surfaces the information and insights you need from business data

Microsoft 365 Copilot Business Chat

Along with the Microsoft 365 Copilot announcement, Microsoft today announced Business Chat, a new experience that works across all your business data and apps to surface the information and insights you need whenever required. Business Chat is not a standalone service, but you can access it via Microsoft 365.com, from Bing when you’re signed in with your work account, or from Teams.

Business Chat works alongside you, using the power of the Microsoft Graph to bring together data from across your documents, presentations, email, calendar, notes, and contacts.

With Business Chat, you can spend less time focused on the tools and more time focused on the most important work.

Here are example commands and prompts you can try in Microsoft 365 Business Chat:

  • Summarize the chats, emails, and documents about the [customer] escalation that happened last night.
  • What is the next milestone on [project]. Were there any risks identified? Help me brainstorm a list of some potential mitigations.
  • Write a new planning overview in the style of [filename A] that contains the planning timeline from [filename B] and incorporates the project list in the email from [person].

Microsoft’s preview customers will be able to access Business Chat in Microsoft Teams from today.
