Microsoft Bookings in Outlook is a new feature that aims to reduce the back and forth in scheduling and help users maintain control of their calendar. The feature allows users to keep custom bookable time, which can be shared with others, so they can easily find a time to schedule a 1:1 meeting with the user according to their availability and preferences.
When someone books a time slot with a user using their personal booking page, both parties will receive an email confirmation. Attendees can also update or cancel scheduled meetings with the user directly from their personal bookings page.
All users with the following subscriptions will have access to the Bookable time feature in Outlook by default: Office 365: A3, A5, E1, E3, E5, F1, F3 and Microsoft 365: A3, A5, E1, E3, E5, F1, F3, Business Basic, Business Standard, and Business Premium.
To start using the Bookable time feature, users can go to Outlook on the web, click on the calendar tab on the left navigation menu, click the New Event button, and select Bookable time. Once selected, users can set their availability and share it with their team members or external people.
In addition to the Bookable time feature, Microsoft has also released other features such as follow-up reminders in Microsoft Bookings and the Microsoft Bookings Power Automate connector, which is now available in preview. Users can also continue the conversation by joining the Microsoft 365 community, where they can share best practices or join community events. To stay up to date on the latest news and announcements directly from the product teams, users can also follow or subscribe to the Microsoft 365 Blog space.
