Microsoft introduces new affordable Microsoft 365 plan that will cost just $1.99 per month

Microsoft today introduced a new affordable Microsoft 365 plan called Microsoft 365 Basic. Microsoft 365 Basic will cost $1.99 per month or $19.99 per year and will offer the following benefits:

  • 100 GB of cloud storage
  • Ad-free and secure email with Outlook
  • Access to support experts for help with Microsoft 365 and Windows 11
  • Advanced security features like ransomware recovery and password-protected sharing links in OneDrive (Coming later this year)

The new Microsoft 365 Basic plan will be available worldwide on January 30, 2023. The current OneDrive 100 GB subscribers will be moved to Microsoft 365 Basic plan on January 30, 2023.

Microsoft also announced an easier way to manage your storage across Microsoft’s services including OneDrive, Outlook, and more. Starting February 1, 2023, you can view, manage, and upgrade your cloud storage across your devices from your Microsoft account, Windows settings, or app settings.

Microsoft today confirmed that Microsoft 365 app is now generally available on the web at Microsoft365.com and will be available on Windows, Google Play and the Apple App Store later in January 2023.
