Microsoft Excel now allows you to automate tasks with Office Scripts

Microsoft Excel Automate

This month (October, 2022), Microsoft added several new features in Excel app across platforms. For example, Excel for Windows and Mac users can now automate repetitive tasks in your spreadsheet workflows using Office Scripts. Previously, this feature was available only on Excel for the web. With this update, you can now create and modify scripts in Excel for Windows and Excel for Mac using the Code Editor, also view and run scripts in the All Scripts task pane.

Also, you can now easily find the command that you need using the shortcut menu. Check out the video demo below.

The Navigation pane allows you to easily understand a workbook’s layout. You can find and access elements such as tables, charts, PivotTables, and images within your workbook.

Now you can simply copy the content that you want to paste into an existing worksheet and press Ctrl+Shift+V.
