Along with the new Surface Pro 9, Microsoft today announced the Surface Pro 9 5G device with Microsoft SQ3 processor for improved performance and battery life. Microsoft claims that the new Surface Pro 9 5G will offer up to 19 hours of battery life.
The new Microsoft SQ3 processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon features an Adreno 8CX Gen 3 GPU and a Neural Processing Unit for AI related tasks. You can configure the Surface Pro 9 5G device with storage up to 512GB, and 8GB/16GB LPDDR5RAM options.
Surface Pro 9 5G will feature a 13-inch PixelSense Flow Display with a 2880 X 1920 (267 PPI) resolution, support for refresh rate up to 120Hz (Dynamic refresh rate supported), 10-point multi-touch and Adaptive Color support. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 5 for more durability.
When it comes to wireless connectivity, Surface Pro 9 5G will support Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), Bluetooth Wireless 5.1, Glonass, Galileo and Beidou GPS support, and mmWave and Sub-6 5G bands.
Surface Pro 9 5G will also feature Windows Hello face authentication camera with 1080p on the front and 10.0MP rear-facing autofocus camera with 1080p HD and 4k video. Surface Pro 9 5G will support Windows Studio Effects (Portrait Blur, Automatic Framing, Eye Contact).
The dual far-field Studio Mics and 2W stereo speakers with Windows Studio Effects and Voice Clarity will deliver great audio experience on this device. Also, there are two 4 USB-C 3.2 ports.
All the above specs are packed in an anodized aluminum body that includes a kickstand with full-friction multi-position hinge to 165 degrees.
Surface Pro 9 5G also comes with Microsoft Pluton chip for improved security.
