Microsoft Cloud Partner Program launch

Back in March, Microsoft announced major changes to its Microsoft Partner Network program. Microsoft changed the name of the program from “Microsoft Partner Network” to the “Microsoft Cloud Partner Program.” The new program is focused on proficiency in the following six solution areas:

  • Data & AI (Azure)
  • Infrastructure (Azure)
  • Digital & App Innovation (Azure)
  • Business Applications
  • Modern Work
  • Security

Microsoft yesterday announced the official launch of the new Microsoft Cloud Partner Program. With this launch, legacy silver and gold competency badges for partners are no longer valid. Microsoft partners can check the latest requirements for each new designation and refer to the Solutions Partner benefits guide for more information. Microsoft is also creating additional Industry Designations for partners who build software, starting with retail, healthcare, and financial services.

Microsoft also highlighted the new ISV Success program which is in preview. Through the ISV Success program, ISVs can build across the Microsoft Cloud and gain access to the following benefits:

  • Cloud sandbox and developer tools: Funded benefits to help ISVs develop applications on the Microsoft cloud and publish to the commercial marketplace including access to Visual Studio and GitHub resources.
  • Curated resources: Content tailored to common ISV applications and publishing scenarios, together in one place for ease of discovery.
  • Community events: Sign up for access to webinars, workshops, and a community of Microsoft and peer experts.
