Until now, to join a WhatsApp audio or video call, someone must invite you during the call. Today, WhatsApp announced a new feature called Call Links. Call Links will allow you to join a call using links. Also, you can send a call link to anyone on WhatsApp, even if they’re not in your contacts.
Call links feature is coming to WhatsApp this week and it is available for both audio and video calls.
Using this feature, you can share a link to start a call with a single tap.
WhatsApp is also testing secure encrypted video calling for up to 32 people. This feature will be rolled out in the coming months.
