Phishing remains one of the most common causes of security breaches reported around the world. It is one of the most reliable ways for an attacker to establish a toehold in an organization. Security breaches cost companies a lot of time and money. Avoiding phishing can save millions of dollars and thousands of hours of valuable security operators’ time.
Microsoft has partnered with Terranova for the Gone Phishing Tournament, an online phishing initiative that uses real-world simulations to establish accurate phishing clickthrough rates and additional benchmarking numbers for user behaviors. Any organization interested in measuring their phishing click rate can participate in their tournament. This will provide them with the actionable insights they need to establish and grow a culture of cyber security awareness.
This tournament will use an email template from Attack simulation training, part of the capabilities included in Microsoft Defender for Office 365.
The Terranova Security team will manage the Gone Phishing Tournament simulation launch during the pre-determined deployment period.
