Microsoft Forms is Microsoft’s online survey creator, part of Office 365.  Forms allow users to create surveys and quizzes with automatic marking, a useful feature for any corporate environment. The data can be exported to Microsoft Excel.

Microsoft has today released the changelog of features Form users can take advantage of in September 2022.

The list includes:

  • Convert Word/Pdf to Microsoft Forms with 1-click

If you have lots of existing quizzes or surveys from word document or PDF document, you can now import and convert them into Microsoft Forms by using Microsoft’s latest “Quick convert” functionality. You want to change a little bit? No problem! After importing, you can still edit following the suggestion before sending it out.

  •  Enable time limit in your test 

Are you still worry about your students will not finish the quiz in a certain period? Microsoft is excited to share that you can enable a timer in quiz now! No matter it is a mock test or after class homework, students can make sure they finish the quiz in a limit time.  Also, you can find the quiz functionality in Teams Assignment app.

  • Send form and remind non-response people through Teams 

If you want to share a form or quiz directly to a Teams channel or Teams chatgroup, you can easily use the invitation channel. An invitation message with a dedicated template will be sent via Teams on behalf of yourself.

  • Polls app in Teams

A newly launched Polls app aims to provide an intuitive naming convention for Teams meetings users who need polling tool, it can be searched/found via meeting tab at the top, message extension (via chat window) and the (left) side-nav in Teams.

  • Jump-start poll creation in Teams meetings with AI-powered suggestions and previously used polls

To better assist Teams meeting organizers in creating/launching polls before and during meetings, Microsoft has released the new poll functionalities which simplify the poll creation to launch process with only a couple of clicks. Users can either get some inspirations a variety of pre-defined polls or re-use the polls from the past Teams meetings

  • New question type – rating in poll

You want to get more interaction with your audience during the meeting? You can add rating and ranking questions in Poll now! Rating as a new polling type which is designed for scenarios for using scale or score to express level of preference. Ranking is an additional polling type, and it allows users to rank the sequence of given options. Users can drag and drop to move options up/down.
