At Inspire 2022, Microsoft announced Viva Engage, a new service that brings consumer-like social network to organizations. It helps to build community and connections within organizations. Microsoft today announced the general availability of Viva Engage. With new features like Stories and Storyline, employees can easily express themselves on Viva Engage.
Starting today, the Yammer Communities app for Teams will be replaced with Viva Engage. Also, Viva Engage will be coming to Outlook soon. Viva Engage will be available for free to most Microsoft 365 customers.
Microsoft also confirmed that Yammer will be available as before, but the content created on Yammer and Viva Engage will be displayed on each other’s feeds. Microsoft will continue invest in Yammer and bring the powers of Yammer to Microsoft 365 and Viva.
Viva Engage will continue to show the same network, home feed, and communities that you see today in Yammer.
