Microsoft recently released its June 2022 Game Development Kit with several improvements including GRTS handle tracking, age-restrictions support for DLCs, improved sign-in and launch experiences, a simplified user model, and a PC bootstrapper. Microsoft has now published a YouTube video explaining the new improvements that are coming with the June 2022 GDK.
In the video, Microsoft has revealed that they are unlocking more memory for Xbox Series S game developers that can be utilized to improve the visual quality and performance of games.
Microsoft specifically mentioned that hundreds of additional megabytes of memory are now available to Xbox Series S developers. This gives developers more control over memory which can improve graphics performance in memory constrained conditions.
Also, developers can now take advantage of recent memory improvements. Microsoft has addressed an issue where graphics virtual addresses were being allocated considerably slower than non-graphics virtual addresses.
