Microsoft Universal Print Windows 11

Universal Print is a cloud-based print solution that can be used to manage print infrastructure through serverless cloud services from Microsoft. When Microsoft released Windows 11 last year, Microsoft announced that several new improvements are coming to Universal Print with Windows 11.

In addition to the improved print experience, Microsoft added support for PIN protected printing, Print Support Application (PSA) support, IPP over USB to widen hardware support using IPP and more. Also, Microsoft added Endpoint Manager printer provisioning support.

Both Windows 10 and Windows 11 natively support PDF; PWG-Raster; and PCLm printers.

Microsoft today announced that they are bringing these capabilities to Windows 10. With Windows 10, version 21H2 Build 19044.1806 (KB5014666), you will be able to enjoy the improved Universal Print experience. With this update, IT teams can use Intune to provision Universal Print printers to employee devices running Windows 10.
