Meta today announced a new feature that will make it easier for you to control what content you see and discover on Facebook. Until now, the Facebook Feed tab displayed posts from your friends, Favorites, Pages and groups based on personalized recommendations. Over the past year or so, Facebook even included Reels, Stories and other content in the Feed tab.
Facebook yesterday announced two new things:
- The new Feeds tab will allow you to find the most recent posts from your friends, Favorites, Pages and groups. You can also make a Favorites list of the friends and Pages you care about most and filter their content in this new tab.
- The new Home tab will be displayed when you open Facebook to discover content. In the Home tab, you can access Reels and Stories and get personalized recommendations.
From Home tab, you can create a Reel, see what your connections are sharing on Feed and in Stories, and build community over new and shared interests.
With the new changes, the Home tab becomes a discovery engine for you to find and follow new content and creators through recommendations, the Feeds tab will allow you to easily access the content from the people and communities you’re already connected. Facebook also mentioned that Suggested For You posts won’t be there in Feeds. The new Feeds tab will be displayed in the shortcut bar on iOS and Android from today.
