Microsoft’s new Outlook Lite app will offer fast performance for low-end Android devices

This month, Microsoft will be releasing a new Outlook app called Outlook Lite for Android devices. The new Outlook Lite will feature most of the features of regular Outlook app in a smaller app size with fast performance for low-end Android devices.

Unlike the existing Outlook app, the upcoming Outlook Lite will only support Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Hotmail, Live, and MSN accounts. Support for other account types will be available in future updates. Also, you can only add one email account. Support for multiple accounts will be available in future.

Apart from the account-related restrictions, Outlook Lite will not come with the following features for now:

  • Syncing Outlook contacts with the device contacts.
  • Event Reminders
  • Dark Mode

The new Outlook Lite app will be available for download worldwide later this month.
