Right now, when you setup a new PC, you need to manually install all the apps that were installed from Microsoft Store in your previous PC. An upcoming Microsoft Store feature in Windows 11 will allow you to reinstall all your old Microsoft Store apps in a single click. This will make the new PC setup process much easier for consumers.
This feature will also help developers retain their customers without having to remind customers to re-download their app.
Microsoft will test this feature in the Windows Insider Channel in the coming weeks.
Microsoft also announced another improvement in Windows 11 for Microsoft Store apps. When an app is listed in Microsoft Store, you will be able to open Start, type the name of an app, view search results from Microsoft Store, and easily install it from there, without opening the Microsoft Store app.
