Microsoft keeps Right to Repair promises by releasing “How to repair the Surface Laptop Studio” video guide

Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio

Microsoft has been a convert to the Right to Repair movement over the last few years, with each iteration of their Surface Laptops more user repairable.

In December last year Microsoft partnered with iFixit to make available official tools and repair kits for independent repair technicians, and today the company posted a 15-minute guide on how to disassemble their latest Surface Laptop Studio device.

Microsoft notes the device is designed to be repairable, with most components not being held in place by hidden adhesives or glues.

While Microsoft says the device is accessible with minimal tools, they still recommend that users seek professional assistance for device repairs and that they use caution if undertaking “do it yourself” repairs.
