Google today released the new Switch To Android app on Apple App Store.
As the name suggests, this app will help you to move your photos, videos, contacts, and calendar events quickly and securely from an iPhone to a brand-new Android device without need of cables.
The app will ask you for a series of permissions so that your iPhone’s data can be moved to your Android device.
This app also highlights other important steps to setting up your device, like turning off iMessage so you don’t miss further text messages from friends and family.
You can download the new Switch To Android app for free here from the App Store.
It is important to note that Apple already has a similar app in Google Play Store to help users who migrate from Android to iOS. With just a few steps, you can migrate your content securely from your Android device with the Move to iOS app. Since Android allows access to more data to be transferred to different devices, Apple’s Move to iOS app supports the following data for transfer.
- Contacts
- Message history
- Camera photos and videos
- Web bookmarks
- Mail accounts
- Calendars
