Microsoft Teams Office apps

During Ignite 2021, Microsoft announced that Teams personal apps and message extensions are coming to other Microsoft 365 experiences like Office.com and Outlook. Today, Microsoft announced the availability of the first set of these Teams apps available in Preview for Outlook and Office.com. These apps are now available for users enrolled in the Targeted Release program.

Once installed, users can start using the Teams app in Office.com and can see the app easily available in the app bar in Office.com. In Outlook, in addition to the left app bar, the apps will be available within email and calendar composite experience.

The Preview roll-out of these new capabilities has started for users enrolled in the Microsoft 365 Targeted Release program or who are members of the Office Insiders program and have Outlook for Windows installed from the Beta Channel.
