Back in 2018, Microsoft’s LinkedIn acquired Glint,  a people success platform to help organizations increase employee engagement, develop their people, and improve business results. After the acquisition, Glint continued to serve its existing customers and it was delivered via LinkedIn.

Last year, Microsoft introduced Microsoft Viva suite, an integrated employee experience platform that brings together communications, knowledge, learning, resources, and insights. Yesterday, Microsoft announced that Glint will be moved to Microsoft Cloud and it will be delivered as part of Microsoft Viva suite.

People interested in Glint can purchase the service in two ways. One way is the existing Glint service on a standalone basis through LinkedIn or bundled with Viva through Microsoft. Microsoft expects to bring Glint onto the Viva platform in 2023.

BigTechWire’s take:

Bringing Glint into Viva is an obvious move by Microsoft and it makes complete sense. The combination of Viva and Glint will help enterprises in gathering employee feedback and translate those insights to actions, helping managers and teams to improve the employee experience.

What they are saying:

“With Glint joining the Viva family, our vision is to bring feedback directly into the flow of work, ensuring leaders and managers have an easy way to access employee engagement insights and respond to their team’s needs. Additionally, Glint’s powerful survey tools and people science technology will unleash new opportunities in Viva as companies seek to gain a greater understanding of the moments that matter across an employee’s lifecycle,” – Kirk Koenigsbauer, Chief Operating Officer & Corporate Vice President, Experiences + Devices.
