At Intel’s 2022 Investor Meeting, Intel provided an update on its Intel Arc Graphics product lineup. Intel revealed that it will ship more than 4 million discrete GPUs in 2022 generating $1 billion in revenue. Intel’s Accelerated Computing Systems and Graphics Group (AXG) is expected to reach $10 billion of revenue by 2026.

  • Windows OEMs will launch laptops with Intel Arc graphics, code-named Alchemist, for sale in the first quarter of 2022.
  • Intel will ship add-in graphics cards for desktops in Q2 2022 and workstations by Q3 2022.

Intel has also revealed that architecture work has started on Celestial, a high-end GPU targeting ultra-enthusiast segment.

Intel also has plans to deliver Intel Arc GPUs via cloud. Project Endgame will allow users to access Intel Arc GPUs through a service for an always-accessible, low-latency computing experience. Apart from this information, Intel did not reveal any other information on Project Endgame. It will be interesting to see whether Intel has built its own cloud service to deliver Intel Arc GPUs or it is partnering with cloud leaders like Microsoft and Amazon to deliver the service.

Project Endgame will be available later this year.
