Apple is expected to announce its affordable iPhone on the 8th of March, according to a report by Bloomberg.
According to the usual “people familiar with the matter” Apple is expected to announce both the iPhone SE 3 and iPad Air 15 at the event, and also announce the release of iOS 15.4.
The report also noted that there may be a “one more thing”, with Apple reportedly “planning a new Mac with Apple-designed chips” that could also be released as early as March 2022.
Bloomberg reports that 2022 may be a “potentially record-setting year for product launches” for the company, which has gone from strength to strength despite the pandemic.
iPhone SE 3
The iPhone SE 3 is expected to feature 5G connectivity for the first time, and be powered by the Apple A15 chip.
iPad Air 15
Like the iPhone SE 3, the iPad Air 15 is also expected to feature 5G and the Apple A15 chipset.
iOs 15.4, which is currently in beta testing, will bring useful features such as Face ID for masks, universal control and new emoji.
The event is expected to be held virtually, with Apple usually giving one week’s official notice.
